Pastor Layton Dutton

Layton Dutton was raised
in a Christian family in Milton, Delaware. In 1994, he attended
Baptist Bible College
becoming involved in several ministries including choir, puppets, and serving as
a resident assistant. The biggest challenge,
however, was not the studying. It was
an 11 month mission trip to
Cuenca, Ecuador
.After graduation in 1999,
Layton
attended Baptist Bible’s
Graduate School
for one year as a Counseling Major.
He then worked at
BBC
for a year as a security guard. In
2001, when all doors seemed to closed; the Lord brought Calvary Baptist Church of
Evart to
Layton
’s phone. After a short visit, he knew
that God was definitely leading in him to become the Associate Pastor of Youth at
Calvary
. Since July 2001,
Layton
has enjoyed working with the teens.
He has had the privilege of getting to know many, seeing some come to the church,
and seeing growth in those who have decided to follow Christ.
It has been fun getting wet, messy, and going on trips.
God, however, has graciously allowed the best part of seeing teens hear of
Christ for the first time, seeing salvations, and of watching teens make their parent’s
faith their own. Layton
loves to preach the Word, having done so in several states and 3 countries. He also enjoys watching Earnhardt race
in NASCAR and the Philadelphia Eagles play football making Sundays very busy. |
